While people all across the USA are busy stuffing themselves with food and alcohol, while they are busy detonating their little mini-bombs, while they are busy patting themselves on the back for living in such a wondrous bastion of freedom and liberty, I hope they will take a moment to remember a few things: in our name, there are thousands of people going to bed hungry tonight; in our name, there are people dying from much bigger and more deadly bombs; in our name, there are people who live under a daily regime of oppression, degradation, and fear.

Happy 4th of July, Iraq.

Instead of our name, I would say in the name of the U.S.For one thing, as Black people, we don’t have enough freedom in this country to claim the brutality to others by the U.S.
