The other day I was sitting at the firehouse listening to the rest of my colleagues discussing the goings-on in Iraq (at least as they were being reported through the corporate TV media). I was sitting in another room, so I don’t know exactly what was on the screen, not that it mattered. What did matter was that there was apparently some mention of looting ‘in the streets’ of Iraq’s cities in the wake of the Anglo-American invasion. I heard some the lads mentioning how some of these people were carting away televisions and computers, items which they probably didn’t know how to operate but figured were valuable enough to steal. This sort of mean-spirited humor merely displays the combination of racism, ignorance, and cultural imperialism that the Bush administration is relying on to maintain public domestic support for its continuing crusade against the Central Asian world. Think I’m paranoid? Check out this link. Apparently, any ‘sand niggers’ will do when the White Man wants to prosecute his peculiar notion of justice.

Now, it seems, the Bush administration has their sights set on Syria. Is it any surprise that nations like North Korea, Pakistan, and India are making no secret of their attempts to build up their nuclear weapons capabilities? If I were them, I’d be working overtime on that, too.

This country is rapidly solidifying its place as the latest Nazi Germany/Roman Empire, and, considering the technology available in the world today, it won’t take a long time for others in the world to get angry and/or desperate enough to strike this country with a ferocity that will make the stage show that was September 11 seem like a pleasant memory. Can’t say we won’t have earned it.

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” (Galatians 6:7)
